Bio/Description

Kim Geron is Professor of Political Science at California State University East Bay.  He teaches and writes about public policy issues including labor and immigration, and racial politics. His latest book is entitled, The Snake Dance of Asian American Activism: Community, Vision, and Power, published in 2008. He recently co-authored an article on the future of API workers in 2040 that was published in the UCLA AAPI Nexus Journal in 2017. He is a member of the California Faculty Association which represents 29,000 faculty in the CSU system. He also serves as the Principal Investigator for the Transfer-APASS program for API transfer students. Kim is also the 1st Vice President of the Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance (APALA) and sits on the board of the Chinese Progressive Association in San Francisco.
